Microsoft has crushed the hopes and dreams of PC gamers who were looking forward to seeing Halo on Steam alongside a PC release of Halo 3 by simply stating that it’s not going to happen. *Sad Face*

An entry for Halo 3 in the latest AMD beta drivers sparked speculation that the game would finally be making its way onto PC, but Microsoft has moved quickly to shut the rumors down.

“We currently do not have plans to release any Halo titles on Steam, nor do we currently have plans to release a PC version of Halo 3,” a Microsoft spokesperson told Eurogamer.
