THE BUZZ: Microsoft announced at the Consumer Electronics Show yesterday that an official PC version of Kinect will be hitting stores next month.
The new iteration will launch February 1, priced at $250. It was also mentioned that the company is currently working with 200 different partners to bring various applications to Kinect on PC.
EGM’s TAKE: This is a logical move by Microsoft considering the number of users who have modded Kinect to work with PC already. But is it a mass market product? Perhaps, if people don’t have to be eight feet from their screens.
