Microsoft Responds To ‘Sony-Microsoft.com’ Registration

A Microsoft employee has today come out and explained the reasons behind the company registering the two domains of ‘Microsoft-Sony.com’ and ‘Sony-Microsoft.com’.

Frank Shaw of Microsoft has confirmed that the domains were registered as a defence against third parties registering the domains and misusing them.

“re: sony/ms domain names: Sony = great MS partner. No scoop here, this was just a defensive domain hold. Lets move on to weekend, kay?”
