Microsoft Game Studios Vancouver has been renamed Black Tusk Studios and is currently working on Microsoft’s “next big entertainment franchise.”

“Black Tusk Studios is dedicated to creating immersive, AAA games that push the limits of Microsoft’s entertainment platforms,” it says on the studio’s official website. Black Tusk is also hiring at the moment and asks potential applicants, “Do you want to help define Microsoft’s next big entertainment franchise?”

“What that means is we are working on Microsoft’s next big entertainment franchise,” studio boss Michael Crump told The Vancouver Sun. “We’re not working on an existing franchise, we’re looking to build the next Halo here in Vancouver, for example, which is really exciting. We are building something from the ground up.”
