Microsoft has acknowledged an issue currently affecting the Xbox Games Store, which is causing a large number of titles to disappear from sale.
Reportedly over 1,000 titles have disappeared from the store, with Xbox Live Indie Games being the most heavily affected. The Indie store’s total game count has dropped from 2,100 titles down to around 900. Some Xbox Live Arcade titles and their DLC have also vanished.
“We’re aware there is an issue affecting the Xbox Games Store that has temporarily removed some content including Xbox Live Arcade and Xbox Live Indie Games titles,” a Microsoft rep told Gamasutra. ”This is a technical glitch and we’re working to fix the issue as soon as possible. We apologize for any inconvenience.”
The Xbox Live Marketplace was renamed the Xbox Games Store as part of an Xbox Live revamp ahead of the Xbox One’s launch in November.
