Microsoft’s Youngest Employee, Jake The 14 Year Old Hacker

Jake is the young boy who broke into the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 servers and started a phishing scam to obtain users data.

Microsoft thought the attack was connect to the attack on Sony but after discovering otherwise they issued an alert to find the person responsible.

Hacker News is reporting that the boy is now working for Microsoft;

“According to the managing director of Microsoft in Ireland, the
company is helping the hacker ‘develop his talent for legitimate
purposes,’”

“Rellis revealed that Microsoft planned to work
with the Dublin teenager.”

Is this the right thing to do with hackers? Should they be praised or punished for their work?
