Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has revealed the opening cinematic for Middle-earth: Shadow of War‘s next piece of story DLC, Desolation of Mordor.

The DLC puts players in the shoes of Baranor, the Captain of Minas Ithil, who has escaped the fallen city and been reunited with his lost brother, Serka. With the help of his brother, Baranor must hire an army of human mercenaries to combat a new Orc threat to the East. Completing the DLC will unlock a Baranor skin for the main campaign.

Desolation of Mordor will be released on May 18th as a free download for season pass holders. Non-pass holders can purchase the DLC for $19.99.

Developer Monolith productions recently revealed that it will remove all microtransactions from the game next week on May 8th. As well as this, future updates will update the Shadows Wars section of the game, improve the Nemesis System, add new player skins, and update progression.

Middle-earth: Shadow of War is available now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
