Mighty No 9

Creator Keiji Inafune and his team at Comcept today released new work-in-progress gameplay footage of Mighty No. 9 that shows off two of the game’s stages and two boss fights.

The video (seen above) shows portions of No. 2 and No. 5’s respective stages and the boss battles with the ‘bots themselves. Mighty No. 2 is a water-and-iced theme machine whose stage reflects that chilly aesthetic, while Mighty No. 5 is a more military model, equipped with a gatling gun for one arm, a spike launcher on the other, and a militaristic red-and-green, heavily armored design. No. 5’s stage looks like a factory of some sorts where other military grade mechanical warriors are produced.

According to the Kickstarter estimate, Inafune and Comcept hope to get Might No. 9 in players’ hands by the end of spring 2015. The title is set to launch on every platform under the sun: Windows PC, Mac OS X, Linux, PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, PS Vita, Wii U, and 3DS.
