Miiverse Update Increases Character Limit for Posts, Bolsters Filtering

Posted on June 28, 2013 AT 11:06am

An update for Wii U’s Miiverse doubles the size of posts and comments and adds an option for filtering.

Nintendo of Europe’s Martin “NintendoMarty” Born announced the update in a post on Miiverse, detailing the additions in the process. The maximum character count for posts and comments has been doubled, going from 100 to 200 characters—an increase Born says was made due to “popular demand.” The new filtering option allows users to view all popular posts, not just the most recent within “a certain timeframe.”

The WIi U social network is accessible both through the console itself and through a web-based version that went live earlier this year.
