The launch of Destiny 2 has been a success with “millions” of players, according to the latest word from Bungie.
Writing in a recent blog post, Bungie revealed that “millions of Guardians have evacuated a City under attack to arrive ‘safely’ at the Farm.”
The exact figures weren’t given, which can help clue us in to the true number of players. A month after Destiny 1 was attracting roughly 3.2 million players daily. Since Bungie hasn’t given the exact numbers, Destiny 2 probably hasn’t surpassed this figure. The true number, then, contains “millions” without surpassing that 3.2 million figure, meaning that there are probably 2 to 3 million players active in Destiny 2 right now.
In the same post, Bungie revealed the schedule for the first month of Destiny 2 content, outlining the schedules for the Leviathan raid, Guided Games, Trials of the Nine, and more.
Players can look forward to a set of “new challenges” arriving in October, as well as more DLC arriving in the future. The PC version of the game will also release that month, on October 24th.
