Minecraft XBLA has broken the three million sales mark today, according to creator Markus ‘Notch’ Persson.

“I got told Minecraft for XBLA passed three million sales today!” he revealed on Twitter.

This is another major milestone for the console version of the game, which broke the XBLA sales record by selling more copies than any other game in its first 24 hours. It then went on to break the one million mark just a week after release. It’s safe to say that the game has proven to be very popular with Xbox 360 owners.
