Mojang’s cult sandbox hit Minecraft has almost reached 54 million units sold across all platforms as its combined console sales finally surpass the PC.

The game is currently available for PC, Mac, Android, iOS, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. Previously announced figures placed the PC version at around 15 million sales and Xbox 360 sales at 12 million.

Minecraft is set to arrive on PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and Xbox One this August, with the option to upgrade from the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions at a discounted price.

Mojang’s cult sandbox hit Minecraft has almost reached 54 million units sold across all platforms as its combined console sales finally surpass the PC.
