Marcus ‘Notch’ Persson, the creator of Minecraft, has revealed that the combined sales of the PC, Mac, and Linux versions of the cult smash hit has now topped 12 million copies.

This figure is up from 11 million copies sold in June and takes the grand total sold across all platforms to over 33 million copies (via IGN).

Minecraft is set to release next on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita.
