THE BUZZ: Minecraft has reached the four million sales mark, according to the game’s official website.

So far 16,064,477 people have registered to play and 4,002,583 people have bought the game, which is still in beta. A lot of copies of Minecraft have been pirated, but the game’s creator says that he isn’t bothered.

EGM’s TAKE: Four million sales for an indie game is an impressive figure. It will be interesting to see what happens when it gets past the beta stage.
