A documentary charting the rise of Minecraft and its developer Mojang is set to air later this month.

Minecraft: The Story of Mojang has been created by 2 Player Productions and will release on a two-disc DVD following its premiere on Xbox Live on December 22 at 8pm EST in the U.S. and 8pm CET in Europe.

The documentary charts the meteoric rise of Minecraft and its creator Markus “Notch” Persson, from its beginnings as an in-development PC title to its many ports that we have today. You can check out the trailer below.
