THE BUZZ: Mojang has released update 1.2 for Minecraft, bringing with it number of new features.
The changes include a build height limit increase, Golems and wolf puppies. The full change list is below:
- New jungle biome
- Added ocelots
- Added cats
- Added iron golems
- New AI for mobs
- Tame wolves can have puppies
- Villagers will have children if there is room in their village
- New map height limit (256 instead of 128)
- New items and blocks
- Doors have been updated so that double-doors work better with redstone
- Added rare drops for mobs
- Many other minor tweaks and fixes
EGM’s TAKE: By far the best addition in 1.2 has to be the map height increase, imagine what the community will be able to build now that the have double the room to play with. Also the inclusion of Golems and improved AI will certainly help adventure map creators come up with new and more exciting areas. We’re looking forward to seeing what fans can create in 1.2.
