Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition players can transfer saves to Xbox One

Posted on April 25, 2014 AT 02:06am

Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition owners will be able to transfer their saves to the Xbox One version of the game once it is available, Phil Spencer, Head of Xbox, has confirmed.

Ever since the Xbox One version was announced, players have been asking if it would be possible to transfer saves. Following yesterday’s announcement that PlayStation 3 Minecraft players will be able to save transfer to PlayStation 4, Spencer took to Twitter to confirm that Xbox 360 players will be able to do the same.

Minecraft: Xbox One Edition will feature ”larger maps for more complex structures, expanded multiplayer features, and enhanced gameplay.”

Last month, Spencer stated that the release of the game is getting close: ”They control the [release] date of that, but I’ll tell people that we’re getting really close. I talked with Notch [Markus Persson] last night, and they’re really excited about the quality,” he told IGN.
