Microsoft has announced the official release date for the Xbox 360 version of Minecraft‘s first jump into the retail space.

Boxed copies of the game will be available from June 28 and come with a free 48-hour subscription code for Xbox Live, but apart from this it is exactly the same as the downloadable version.

The Xbox 360 version of the game has managed to shift 5 million copies since its launch and a retail release will only push that number even higher.
