THE BUZZ: In an interview with Zoomin.tv, Shigeru Miyamoto revealed he is currently working on an unnamed project, along side the already announced Pikman 3 and Luigi’s Mansion 2. When asked about the pressures of creating new games at this stage in his career Miyamoto said “This certainly makes me feel some pressure. But if you ask me, ‘Is it too much pressure to try to come out with something new?’ I have to say no, I’m enjoying myself.”

No other details were given.

EGM’s TAKE: Start the wild speculation now. Will Miyamoto make a space flight sim in the vein of Colony Wars? How about an open world game like Grand Theft Auto? We’d like to see him branch out though, maybe a 2D platform game, starring an Italian worker of some short, trying to take on a giant dinosaur on his way to save a princess of some how. Regardless of what it is, Nintendo will always benefit from more original content coming from the mind of Miyamoto, and so will gamers.
