Modern Warfare 3 DLC Profile Lock Is A Mistake – Infinity Ward Working on Fix

THE BUZZ: Infinity Ward’s Creative Strategist Robert Bowling has revealed that the profile-locking of the recently released Modern Warfare 3 DLC was a mistake and that a fix is being worked on.
EGM’s TAKE: Users discovered yesterday that the recently released DLC could only be used on the profile that purchased the DLC, and was locked for all secondary profiles on the same console. This lead to a lot of anger considering that the DLC terms of conditions state: ”You can use this item on the first Xbox 360 console you downloaded it to. Access to this item will also be granted to all users on this first console.” Bowling told Joystiq that the team understands, ”that Elite premium members on Xbox Live who purchased the latest DLC content drop for Modern Warfare 3 are unable to access that content while signed into other profiles on the same console that originally downloaded the content.”
“This is unintentional and we will work to get an update out as soon as possible that corrects this issue and allows you to continue to enjoy the new maps,” he added.
At least the team is working on a fix for the content and it wasn’t an intentional move, if it had been it could have angered a lot of fans.
