THE BUZZ: Modern Warfare 3 might be knocking records down left and right however there is one that eluded it. The game didn’t manage to sell as many copies as Call of Duty: Black Ops during its first week of sale.
Even though the game enjoyed the biggest ever day-one sales in history, it manged to ship only two million units in the UK, which is 1.6% short of what Black Ops managed in its first week.
EGM’s TAKE: This won’t make a manage difference to Activision, but it’s odd that it didn’t manage to sell as many copies in the first week. Is this the first slight sign of a cool down for the storied franchise?
