Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3

THE BUZZ: Thanks to last week’s Call of Duty: XP event, we now have some new details for the highly anticipated release of the shooter juggernaut, including observations of weapon popularity and early perk information.

Robert Bowling, Creative Strategist for Infinity Ward, revealed that the ACR was the most popular gun for Modern Warfare 3 players during hands-on sessions at the Call of Duty: XP event. He also mentioned, on Twitter, that the Assassin perk will not be as powerful as Ghost was in Black Ops:

“Assassin isn’t this all powerful stealth perk, Recon Drone can still see / tag you and you can be tagged by Recon.”

EGM’s TAKE: Infinity Ward seems to have really put a lot of thought into balancing perks in Modern Warfare 3. We hope the ACR won’t go the same way as the FAMAS and end up getting “Nerfed”.
