Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3

THE BUZZ: Modern Warfare 3 players can enjoy double XP this weekend in celebration of the Content Collection #1 release.

Players logging into the game are greeted with this message (via Mp1st): ”DLC Collection 1 is available for purchase now. New MP maps and SO Missions await you. Plus, earn Double XP this weekend.”

The event appears to only be for Xbox 360 players.

EGM’s TAKE: As is customary, the release of new DLC content brings with it a double XP weekend to encourage people to play the new maps and missions. PlayStation 3 and PC players will no doubt get the same treatment when the collection finally releases on their platforms. Fans will be happy at earning double XP, but whether they will buy the DLC or not is yet to be seen.
