Modern Warfare 3 – Is the Remote Turret Too Powerful?

THE BUZZ: Some Modern Warfare 3 gameplay footage has appeared online showcasing the new remote controlled turret.

This remote controlled, heat seeking and rapid firing turret can pick out any enemy that strays into it’s path. As you can see in the video the player simply sets the turret then moves to a safe place to commence firing. Seems pretty cool right? Well the main issue comes with game balance, the Chopper Gunner in Modern Warfare 2 was highly controversial due to how easy it made it to find targets and it’s insane accuracy. Will this become Modern Warfare 3′s Chopper Gunner?

EGM’s TAKE: Hopefully Infinity Ward has come up with a plan to counter/balance the portable turret or there’s going to be a lot of angry fans come release day.
