Battlefield 3

THE BUZZ: According to games’ comparison website, Playr2, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 was the most frequently searched for unreleased title in the past month, whereas Battlefield 3 was only the ninth.

Batman: Arkham City took the second spot, with Uncharted 3 : Drakes Deception picking up third. Playr2 says that its research suggests that these will be the top 3 most anticipated titles this Holiday season. Simon Kilby, Founder of Playr2 said:

“We’re continuously seeing searches for video game titles yet to be released on site, as I’m sure that gaming fans are desperate to see previews or news about the titles that they’re most looking forward to being released. Quarter four is always a popular time for big-name releases, particularly given its proximity to Christmas, and that’s certainly the case this year with some of the year’s big name titles due for release.”

The top 10 are:

1. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
2. Batman: Arkham City
3. Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception
4. Assassin’s Creed Revelations
5. Metal Gear Solid HD Collection
6. Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3
7. Saint’s Row: The Third
8. Football Manager 2012
9. Battlefield 3
10. PES 2012

EGM’s TAKE: We don’t believe that this list will reflect the actual top 10 games this Holiday season as you can expect both Skyrim and Gears of War 3 to be in there, however expect Modern Warfare 3 to be on top regardless.
