Modern Warfare 3 – Overwatch DLC Gameplay Trailer

THE BUZZ: Activision has sent over a new gameplay trailer for the upcoming Overwatch multiplayer DLC for Modern Warfare 3.
Xbox 360 Call of Duty: Elite premium subscribers will get access to the DLC starting tomorrow, February 21. PlayStation 3 owners will have to wait an extra month to gain access, however the game’s first two DLC maps, Piazza and Liberation, are set to release for that platform February 28.
Set in New York, Overwatch ”takes place along two levels in a near symmetrical layout, with the central bridge and side routes open to attack from multiple angles,” according to the publisher.
EGM’s TAKE: Overwatch looks like your typical Call of Duty map: small, compact and with plenty of bottlenecks. It also appears to be set on multiple levels thanks to the scaffolding and discarded metal, which should add an extra dimension to gun fights. Fans are once again going to be bitter about this latest content drop as the Xbox 360 Elite subscribers get the map a month before everyone else, but this seems to be what Activision is aiming for with its new tiered system. We wouldn’t be surprised if Elite 2.0 featured another more expensive tier.
