Modern Warfare 3′s Graphical Speed Is Key To Success

Activision believes that the speed and precision of Modern Warfare 3′s graphics will be key to its success this year.

Despite running on the same engine for many years now Modern Warfare 3 will be the first game in the series to output at 60FPS and as a result Activision believe that they have the edge over the competition.

Activision’s Publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg said;

60 frames per second is part of Call of Dutys secret sauce it delivers the most approachable gameplay experience,

The games 60-frames-per-second engine delivers an incredible amount of precision and an incredible gaming experience.

So will the boost to 60FPS be enough to secure another successful year for the franchise or will the games dated engine cause it to be caught by the likes of Battlefield 3 and its new Frostbite 2.0 engine?
