The previously announced The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt crossover event for Monster Hunter: World is underway.
The event centers around a new, original quest line featuring Geralt of Rivia that is available to all players who have reached Hunter Rank 16 or above. The quest line, titled “Contract: Trouble in the Ancient Forest,” tasks players with helping Geralt track down and defeat a powerful force known as the Leshen.
Later this month on February 15th, a new quest titled “Contract: Woodland Spirit” will be made available to players who are Hunter Level 50 or above. This mission will be available until March 1st and tasks players with taking down “a much deadlier form of the Leshen.”
As for rewards, players who complete “Contract: Trouble in the Ancient Forest” will receive “unique, Witcher-themed special items, resources for crafting Geralt’s armor and weapon set, a unique skin and weapon for the player’s Palico companion, as well as new gestures, titles, pose, and guild card background.” While completing “Contract: Woodland Spirit” will reward players with resources needed to craft the armor and weapon set of Ciri.
The Monster Hunter: World x The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt collaboration is available now on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, and will be coming to PC at a later date.
