The first trailer for WayForward’s Regular Show game shows off the title’s 8-bit era-inspired aesthetic, soundtrack, and gameplay.
The trailer offers a brief glimpse at Regular Show‘s three gameplay modes, which players will switch between throughout the game: side-scrolling platforming as Mordecai, side-scrolling shooting as Mordecai-turned-fighter jet, and top-down shooting (reminiscent of/inspired by Fester’s Quest) as Rigby.
A playable demo of Mordecai and Rigby in 8-Bit Land is on hand at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, which kicks off tomorrow. WayForward’s other Cartoon Network collaboration, Adventure Time: Explore the Dungeon Because I DON’T KNOW! is also playable.
Regular Show: Mordecai and Rigby in 8-Bit Land launches on 3DS this fall.
