Following earlier leaks, Assassin’s Creed Rogue HD has been outed by a ratings board, all but guaranteeing that the last-gen exclusive title will soon show up on current generation platforms.
Spotted by Gematsu, publisher Ubisoft recently submitted a PlayStation 4 and Xbox One version of Assassin’s Creed Rogue to the Korean Game Rating Board. Prior to this, several Italian retailers also leaked the potential release of the remaster. There was some discrepancy amongst the retailers about the remaster’s release date, with one retailer listing March 15th, 2018, another listing April 2nd, and the third not offering a date at all.
Assassin’s Creed Rogue follows the adventures of assassin-turned-templar Shay Cormac, exploring the Northern Atlantic in the 1750s. The game originally launched exclusively on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, as an answer to the current-gen exclusivity of Assassin’s Creed Unity, which launched on the same date in November of 2014. The game dropped for PC in March the following year, but fans haven’t heard anything about a potential PS4 and Xbox One port until recently.
In other Assassin’s Creed news, Assassin’s Creed Origins will soon play host to some curious and “fantastical” cross-over content.
