More Jet Set Radio HD Screenshots to Make you Drool

Posted on March 13, 2012 AT 06:39am

THE BUZZ: Sega has released a few new screenshots for its upcoming HD revival of Jet Set Radio.

Sega’s official description of the game, for those unfamiliar:

“Jet Set Radio lets players join the GGs, an up-and-coming street gang in the futuristic city of Tokyo-to, fighting for the right to self-expression against an overbearing, corporate-controlled police force.”

“Rolling and leaping through crowded urban environments on magnetically driven inline skates, players take control of gang leader Beat and his growing posse of deviant artists as they steal turf from the local gangs by covering the city with colourful graffiti.”

“Guided by Professor K, DJ for the hottest pirate broadcast in town – ‘Jet Set Radio’ – the GGs will ultimately uncover the sinister plot hatched by the controlling powers of Tokyo-to.”

Earlier this month Sega released a debut trailer for the game.

EGM’s TAKE: As far as life choices go, deciding to take to the streets and spray graffiti everywhere probably isn’t the best one you could make. However, it does make for one hell of an addictive game, as many fans of the original will attest to. If you’ve missed the radio beats, bright colors and spray cans then you will soon be able to rejoice in their glorious HD makeover. Prepare to hit he streets one more time.
