Mortal Kombat 11 has been officially announced with a brutal match-up between Scorpion and Raiden.

Mortal Kombat 11 was leaked earlier this week on 4chan, teasing a variety of characters that did and didn’t make the cut. The game’s first trailer only confirms Scorpion and Raiden, plus a mysterious individual toward the end, but it does promise that the sequel will be just as gruesome as fans expect. The game’s new features are also generally unspecified, but Scorpion coming back in a demon form after being taken out could suggest some type of second-chance mechanic.

Mortal Kombat 11 is launching April 23rd on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch. The game’s full reveal is dropping January 17th, and preordering will grant players the Shao Kahn character and beta access.
