Mortal Kombat X will feature at least one guest character from another franchise, according to franchise co-creator Ed Boon.

Boon revealed the news during an interview with MadCatz at EVO 2014 over the weekend. According to Boon, DLC characters are planned for the game, and at least one of them will be from another franchise.

Also, during EVO 2014, Netherrealm confirmed that Raiden would be joining the roster. Raiden will have three forms in the game: Displacer, Storm Lord, and Thunder God Raiden. Displacer Raiden makes use of a teleportation ability, while Storm Lord Raiden gains access to lightning bombs and traps. Finally, Thunder God Raiden focuses on high damaging combos.

Mortal Kombat X is in development for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, and is set to launch in 2015.
