Most PS4 Games Required to Support Vita Remote Play

Posted on May 29, 2013 AT 01:26pm

A report from Eurogamer Digital Foundry revealed that Sony will require most PS4 games to support PlayStation Vita remote play.

Shortly after Eurogamer Digital Foundry broke a rumor earlier today about Sony insisting that most PS4 games support PS Vita remote play, president of Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios Shuhei Yoshida confirmed as much on Twitter.

“Yes, it’s true unless the game requires specific hardware like the camera,” Yoshida tweeted when asked about the rumor. “It will be great to play PS4 games on PS Vita.”

The Remote Play feature on PS4 allows games to be streamed to the PlayStation Vita over Wi-Fi through Gakai, allowing them to be played on the handheld.

The PS4 is expected to launch worldwide sometime this fall.
