Mysterious Sony Reveal Isn’t Home Update, Could It Be A New PSN?
Posted on September 29, 2011 AT 05:51am
THE BUZZ: A few days ago Sony released a very cryptic teaser trailer which promised a big announcement coming from the company on October 5th. It was originally believed to be an update to PlayStation Home, however that has just been announced so what could it be?
Sony announced that a brand new Home update will be released today, September 29th, but the teaser stated a date next week so it can’t be the Home update. With the number of Sony characters and IPs involved in the trailer it must be something that has a very wide reach. Could it be the leaked PSN redesign that was outed last month? Or even a revamp of the whole PlayStation Network service. Sadly we already know that it won’t be the announcement of cross-game chat after Sony marked this an impossibility due to RAM restraints.
EGM’s TAKE: At this moment this could be anything, but a PSN re-design is our best bet. We’ll let you know as soon as we find out on October 5th.
What do you think the announcement could be?
