Mystery Microsoft Points Being Added To XBL Accounts

In some weird turn of events people are getting mysterious Microsoft Points added to their Xbox Live accounts.
It appears to be happening to users who have signed up for the Xbox Live Rewards Program and are expecting points to be added to their account. So if you were expecting 260 Microsoft Points to be added this month you may find you have multiple additions of that amount.
This could either be an error or a glitch and it only seems to be effecting a small amount of users, however if you are effected then lucky you.
There has been no official word from Microsoft on what is the cause of these points being added.
Gaming MO: Nick is a first person shooter type of gamer and enjoys heated bouts of Halo with friends and family (even while being schooled by his children).
