THE BUZZ: A trademark filing was recently found for Tales of Xillia in Europe, but it seems that isn’t the only Western country that Namco Bandai has filed in.

EGM’s TAKE: According to Siliconera, they dug up a trademark filing with the United States Patent and Trademark Office for the name “Tales of Xillia”—a trademark that was filed just one day after the European one was filed.

Now, does this confirm that Namco Bandai is bringing the game to North America? Unfortunately, no—the company has previously filed for trademarks for Tales games that they never ended up releasing here (but did so just in case they wanted to).

However, I’d like to be hopeful. As nice as it is that we just recently got Tales of Graces f, everybody I know who has played Xillia has said that it’s an exceptionally enjoyable game.
