Ridge Racer

THE BUZZ: Namco Bandai has announced it will release three games to coincide with the launch of the PS Vita.

The titles — Ridge Racer, Shinobido 2: Revenge of Zen and Touch My Katamari.

Carlson Choi, Namco Bandai’s Vice President of Marketing said, “Between the innovative new gameplay features in the irreverent new Touch My Katamari, the blistering speed and online connectivity of the gorgeous new Ridge Racer, and the intense, open-ended assassin-based action of Shinobido 2: Revenge of Zen, Namco Bandai Games will be delivering top-tier content for the launch of the PS Vita in a very big way.”

EGM’s TAKE: Ridge Racer was one of the first PSP titles, and really showed off what the system was capable of. That, however, didn’t translate into huge sales. I’m sure Namco Bandai is hoping for a much, much better launch for Sony’s next handheld this winter.

Why does Touch My Katamari sound so dirty?
