THE BUZZ: Look around internet, it’s a new day. The much sought after and much petitioned Nathan Fillion is that much closer to stepping into the boots of the wisecracking, maniacal mass murderer  Nathan Drake, in the upcoming, often delayed Uncharted movie. The movie has had a number of stars attached to play the lead, including Mark Walberg, Gerard Butler, and even Matthew Mcconaughey, but the internet has stood firm with the belief that Nathan Fillion has the voice, face, and character to pull off Nathan Drake’s subtle charms.

EGM’s TAKE: Nathan Fillion aside, we’d sign the petition to have Drake’s role taken on by actor Nolan North. Not only has Naughty Dog changed Drake’s appearance to look more like North over the years, but anyone that hears North speak can see plain as day how much Nathan Drake is, in fact, Nolan North. With that said, Fillion seemed like an obvious choice for a movie that needs a star and one that could be signed for a fraction of the cost of some other stars on the list.
