Naughty Dog co-founder Jason Rubin now running Oculus VR’s worldwide studios

Posted on June 17, 2014 AT 01:20pm

Naughty Dog co-founder and former THQ president Jason Rubin is now with Oculus VR as head of their worldwide studios, the company announced during E3 last week.

So while perhaps you’re not yet a believer when it comes to virtuality—I remain trepident, myself, despite finally strapping into a headset during E3—more and more our industry’s best and brightest seem to be drawn to the Rift (less so to Morpheus—anyone else notice that?).

“There have only been a handful of times in my life where I saw something that I knew would change everything,” Rubin said in a prepared statement. “The awe-inspiring tech Oculus is building is a portal into an incredible world that my daughter will one day consider to be normal. The moment I put it on, I wanted to help define that future.”

OK, commenters: commence the conspiracy theory–level of accusations about how Facbeook is just hurling money at these big names.
