The Last Of Us

THE BUZZ: Naughty Dog has revealed that it wants to, “redefine video games,” with its upcoming PlayStation 3 exclusive The Last of Us.

Speaking to USA Today, co-President Christophe Balestra said: ”We’re trying to move the medium of video games into an area elevated in the same manner of respect of film. We want to redefine what our medium is even called. ‘Video game’ is not an accurate name anymore. It is not necessarily a game with rules and a winner and a loser. It’s an experience.”

The game is due to release in late 2012/early 2013 for PlayStation 3.

EGM’s TAKE: The game has got many PlayStation 3 fans excited at the prospect of a new Naughty Dog game, and the trailer wowed critics the world over. Since its VGA debut, it seems that everybody is talking about it.
