Basketball’s biggest (and unchallenged) video game franchise is officially out today, and 2K Sports wants to give you a friendly reminder, courtesy of Michael Jordan. After all, he knows what you want.
Various NBA 2K13 trailers have hyped the gameplay and presence of the 1992 Dream Team, with the latest one taking a far more theatrical approach to it.
At this point, it seems like the only thing left for the franchise to do is steadily increase the graphical quality.
However, that’s not likely to happen until the next console generation, given each NBA 2K game’s sheer size and scope.
NBA 2K12 was a high mark for the franchise, notching its place as the best-selling title in the series at 4.36 million copies sold between the PS3 and Xbox 360 alone.
Take-Two Interactive and 2K Sports would assuredly be thrilled if NBA 2K13 beat the previous year’s sales, and they’ve been pulling out all the stops, even signing up with hip-hop mogul Jay-Z in order to promote the game.
