2K Sports released a new trailer for NBA 2K14 that shows off all the game’s virtual hoops-shootin’ [insert sports vernacular here] gameplay.

The video, embedded below, is from the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 versions of NBA 2K14, which launch October 1. The PS4 and Xbox One versions of NBA 2K14 will be released as launch titles for both systems (so November 15 on PS4, and whenever the Xbox One drops in November).

Sorry, I’d offer more commentary, but it’s a gameplay trailer about basketball. I feel that’s pretty self-explanatory, so for you b-ball fans out there who actually know what’s going on in the video, I’m sure things will prove more interesting for you. As for me? I think my headline is evidence enough of how little I know about basketball.

LeBron James is the cover athlete, and also the game’s music curator. That song you hear in the trailer? “Hate Me Now” by Nas featuring Puff Daddy? He picked that out. There’s a fun fact.
