EA has announced the official release date for the Wii U version of Need for Speed: Most Wanted, and also offered up a few of its unique features.

The Criterion racer will be available in the U.S. from March 19 and in Europe from March 22. The Wii U version of the game includes a new co-op feature called Co-Driver, which allows one player to steer the car using a Wii Remote and the other to navigate and provide assistance via the GamePad.

“Using just their fingertips, a partner can distract pursuing cops, switch from night to day or activate enhanced performance for any car and even control the amount of traffic on the road,” the publisher explained. “This is the ultimate advantage for gamers who like to stir up trouble for the cops, their friends or just for fun.”

Players can also use the GamePad to switch cars and mods on the fly without having to pause the game.
