Need for Speed

EA is teasing a Need for Speed reveal for later today, will we finally get our first glimpse of the franchise’s first next generation entry?

Earlier this week the publisher released a screenshot of a Koenigsegg police cruiser with the words “Have no rules, show no mercy.” Now the game’s Facebook page has been updated with a second image of a Ferrari with the following text, “The Rivalry Begins. Learn More on May 23rd.”

Now the first thing that came into my head upon reading that sentence was Need for Speed: Underground Rivals which was released for the PSP in 2005. Could we see a new game set in that universe?
