THE BUZZ: Netflix has confirmed rumors that it will launch its popular media streaming service in the UK and Ireland.
The service, currently available in the U.S., allows users to choose from 1000′s of movies and TV shows and stream them instantly for a monthly subscription fee. The company confirmed that it will be launching the service sometime in “early 2012.”
EGM’s TAKE: Netflix is a massive service in the U.S., covering dozens of media devices including Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii, so it will be welcomed with open arms when it makes the trip overseas.
