THE BUZZ: Ed Boon, boss of Mortal Kombat Developer NetherRealm Studios, has teased an “unexpected surprise” is on the way.

He teased on Twitter: “Unexpected surprise from NetherRealm Studios coming…….?”

Most of his followers responded by asking if it was Mortal Kombat related to which he replied:

“RT @DQueBeats @noobde is the suprise MK9 related? thats all i need to know Noobde: No sir.”

EGM’s TAKE: What could this surprise be? A new IP perhaps?
