New Black Ops 2 Strike Force Screenshots

By
Posted on June 25, 2012 AT 07:19am

Activision has released two new screenshots for Black Ops 2‘s Strike Force mode, a brand new addition to this year’s entry.

Strike Force missions are multiple-outcome battles where players take charge of an entire squadron of characters and weaponry, possessing individual units from an overhead view and ordering the squad into position via an RTS style interface. The screenshots are from a mission set in Yemen.

The unique feature behind Strike Force missions is the ability to fail them, if you are unsuccessful the story will continue forward except a battle down the road will be harder to complete than if you had successfully achieved the Strike Force objective.

These missions may be the first interesting addition to the Call of Duty series since Zombie mode back in World at War. They are short, fast-paced, and actually have an impact on the game’s story.

What do you think of Strike Force missions? A worthwhile addition?
