Publisher Focus Home Interactive today released the first in-game trailer for Cynadide’s upcoming turn-based strategy and fantastical take on American football Blood Bowl 2.
Blood Bowl 2 is a follow up to Cynade’s 2009 PC and Xbox 360 interpretation of the Games Workshop tabletop board game of the same name. In Blood Bowl, teams of Humans, Orcs, Dwarves, Lizardmen, Skaven (rat-like creatures), Goblins, Chaos (demonic-looking space-time entities), and Wood Elves face off against one another in something closely resembling American football, but a tad more (intentionally) violent.
Cyanide announced Blood Bowl 2 for Windows PC in 2013. The trailer above shows off the game’s brand new graphic engine that, according to Focus Home, was developed specifically for Blood Bowl 2. The sequel will also include “numerous extra features,” improved animations, dynamic cameras, both solo and multiplayer modes, and a “league” mode.
No word yet on when Blood Bowl 2 will launch on Windows PC, or whether it’ll be ported over to consoles as well.
