Borderlands

Everyone who picked up Borderlands 2 via pre-order is likely familiar with Gaige the Mechromancer, but that’s not stopping her from getting her own trailer. Gearbox Software’s new sizzle reel features the electric dynamo in all her killing-spree glory.

As the fifth and newest vault hunter, Gaige’s powers are generally based on stacking elemental damage.

Through the right abilities in her skill tree, Gaige can set off explosions and electrical storms with every kill she racks up.

Her small stature aside, she’s great in team situations, and also comes with her own ally in “Deathtrap”—a Transformer lookalike that comes with its own weaponry and special armaments, such as laser beams and taser equipment.

Most interesting is her “Anarchy” skill, which stacks damage bonuses while increasing your accuracy.

Gaige the Mechromancer is purchasable as separate DLC, although we wonder if she’s the last vault hunter to be introduced to the Borderlands. Check out the trailer below and let Sir Hammerlock do the honors of introducing you to the violent little lightning ball.
